challenges@menterra.comDigital health technologies are pivotal for delivering value-based care across the healthcare continuum in India. Adaptive intelligent solutions can help lower the barriers between hospitals and patients, improve access to care, and enhance overall patient satisfaction, particularly in tier II and tier III cities.
Through our Digital Healthcare Challenge, we received 76 applications from companies developing breakthrough technologies. The applications went through 3 rounds of detailed screening by the Menterra team and industry experts. After 3 months of rigorous assessment, TeraLumen was selected as the winner of this challenge.
TeraLumen is developing India’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled, Terahertz-based intraoperative device for real-time cancer margin detection. This technology significantly improves on existing cancer margin detection practices and reduces time by ~75% for a patient under anaesthesia and in surgery. The current use case has been developed for breast cancer. There are possible larger opportunities in more critical cancer areas such as brain cancer that require precise cancer margin detection.
